Stranded on Third is still unable to confirm for certain that the elusive Baseball (Owners) Commissioner H. Bud Selig will definitely be in Los Angeles this week to witness Barry Bonds attempting to hit home run #755 or 756. Apparently, Tony Gwynn was throwing a Post-Induction Pizza Party, and Cal Ripken Jr. is still doing a victory lap around upstate New York, inviting everybody to look at the world directly through his eyeballs so Bud didn't want to be rude or anything... and he's just chillin' in Cooperstown.
If Bud doesn't show, his proxy will allegedly be former pseudo baseball man and current President George W. Bush.
The speech is already written: "Bondsie, you're doing a heck of a job."
